We are so pleased to announce that our latest Company of the Month is Walker Morris LLP!

Last October, the Leeds-based legal company voted to support Candlelighters as their charity of the year for 2022-2023. In the first four months of the partnership, the team have got stuck in and have raised over £5,750 for Candlelighters. They’ve been involved in a range of fundraising activities including a pancake day station, valentines bake sale, World Cup Sweepstake, a corporate trainee challenge, Karate lessons, Christmas Raffle, 12ks of Christmas, and Paralegals Sleep Out to name a few!

Plus, the team have been busy signing up to many challenge events and have rallied teams for the Yorkshire Three Peaks, Leeds 10k, Rob Burrows Leeds Marathon and are even representing Candlelighters at the Paris Marathon in April! Not to mention they have so much more planned to come.

Walker Morris have also been kind enough to sponsor our Candlelighters Business Collaboration Project on the 29th March by hosting the event and helping us to live stream for the first time! (Get your tickets here and join us in person or online for a fun and inspiring evening learning about how we support families.)

Charlotte Bontoft, Charity Committee Chair at Walker Morris said, “We are delighted to support Candlelighters as our 2022/2023 Charity of the Year, helping them support children fighting cancer and their families. Throughout the past four months, we have had a variety of events and activities including bake sales, Movember, annual Christmas Raffle, sweepstakes and karate lessons – and we have so much more planned over the coming months to raise both awareness and funding for this fantastic cause.”

Our Corporate Partnerships Executive, Iain, said, “We were absolutely delighted when we found out in October that Candlelighters had been selected as Walker Morris’s Charity of the Year. They’ve really got off to an amazing start and we can’t wait to see what the team get up to for the rest of 2023. The team have already raised an incredible amount and are making a huge difference to families with their support”.

A huge thank you to Walker Morris for their ongoing support, we’re looking forwards to seeing what the rest of the year has in store!
