Taking care of your wellbeing is especially important when dealing with the stress and anxiety of childhood cancer. But often it can be hard to prioritise. We offer free services to help look after your wellbeing and put you in a better position to face the journey ahead.
Massage and relaxation
Our massage therapists offer a variety of massages including shoulder, back, head, hand and arm. Massage can help to ease physical pain and stiffness and also help reduce stress, ease depression and promote better sleep.
Reflexology
Reflexology is a therapy that uses gentle pressure on the feet, hands, or ears. It can help you feel less stressed, more relaxed and more energised. Self-reflexology methods can also be taught to help regulate stress at any time.
Energy balancing
Energy balancing is a gentle treatment which involves a therapist placing their hands on or above different parts of the body to restore harmony in the body's energy. It can help with relaxation and managing emotions.

Wellbeing therapies generally take place at our family support centre, The Square, over four days a week 10am-4pm. Some therapies can also be delivered to patients at Leeds Children's Hospital if needed.
All therapies are suitable for children and adults. Current patients will need a consent form signed by a parent or carer and their oncologist. Siblings under 18 will need a consent form signed by a parent or carer.
