We’d like to say a big big thank you to supporter Jerome who, on Saturday 29th May 2021, along with his friends Tom and Ant, completed a mammoth 85 mile bike ride from Leeds Children’s Hospital to Blackpool.
Jerome said, ‘At just a four months old, my two godsons Emre and Elijah were sadly diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia. I wanted to raise money for Candlelighters as a small thank you for looking after the brave boys and their family in such a difficult time, who still to this day offer their services to the family. They were and still are amazing and supportive, offering services such as therapy, trips out with the children and many other services and support.’
In total, Jerome raised over £1,000 for this incredible challenge, which could fund so many things, like a family holiday to make precious memories together, all our children’s talking therapy sessions for one month, or all our sibling groups for one month. A big thank you to all three!
