For many, the impacts of childhood cancer don't stop when treatment ends. Diagnosis can have profound and lasting effects on the entire family. That's why we offer a lifetime of support.

We know that the challenges faced by patients and their families don't always end when treatment does. Adjusting to life after treatment or bereavement is hard. Our support can help you to navigate the road ahead and take care of your emotional and mental wellbeing.

Am I eligible?

Anyone who has had Candlelighters support throughout their journey is eligible for ongoing support - it does not matter how long ago your treatment was. Our services have developed significantly in recent years. There may be support available now that was not available at the time. If you'd like to find out more, our friendly team will be happy to chat to you. You can call them on 0113 887 8333 or email [email protected].

What support is available for me?

Patients, parents, siblings, and grandparents can access support for as long as is needed. Our talking therapy, wellbeing services, and support groups can be particularly helpful.

Now and in the future - we are here for you. You are always welcome at our family support centre and our family support team will be there to provide a listening ear.

Candlelighters provide us with a sense of community and belonging and somehow normalise a very abnormal life that childhood cancer dictates. It is so reassuring knowing that they will be there for us no matter what the future holds for Rosie.
