We’re pleased to announce that our August Company of the Month is Slumberdown!

Slumberdown have supported Candlelighters since early 2021 when they initially joined our Team 500 – helping to bring in vital funds needed to continue our services through the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since then, Slumberdown have been keen supporters, using and sharing their resources however they can to help our families. They helped to provide relaxation packs for some of our Mums Groups, encouraging them to take ‘A Moment in Time’ to look after their wellbeing – with a particular focus on getting a good night’s sleep. The packs went down a treat with our on and post-treatment and bereaved mums, some of whom had been having particular difficulty sleeping due to stress.

The team at Slumberdown also joined in with our annual Pink It Up campaign in June, with staff dressing pink and hosting pink sweet sales to raise funds. Most recently the company offered their support with our sibling residential – our yearly trip for siblings affected by childhood cancer to have fun, meet other siblings and make lifetime memories. Slumberdown kindly provided pillows for the children to use over the course of the weekend and to take home, as well as covering the costs of coach transport to and from the residential site. The fabulous support from Slumberdown is now continuing with a promotion inspired by Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, with a portion of their sales donated to Candlelighters.

We couldn’t be more grateful for Slumberdown’s ongoing support and enthusiasm when it comes to helping children facing cancer and their families – thank you Slumberdown!
