We are so pleased to announce that our latest Company of the Month is FOD Mobility!

FOD Mobility Group voted for Candlelighters to be their Charity of the Year at the start of the year and since then, we have been so grateful for the excellent ways they’ve been involved in fundraising. Thanks to their fabulous efforts, they’ve reached the brilliant milestone of raising over £5,000 for Candlelighters in the first half of 2023!

Hannah Taylor, Senior HR Officer at FOD said, “FOD Mobility Group is proud to support Candlelighters as our Charity of the Year for 2023. Candlelighters really stood out to us in the level of support they provide to families, from emotional and financial support to family holidays, to hospital accommodation and funding cancer research. We couldn’t think of a more worthy cause to get behind.”

The Bradford Dragon Boat Race, Pink It Up Week, Pancake Day and World Bake Day are just some of the events that FOD Mobility have participated in this year. They also took part in a Eurovision Sweepstake and Hannah and Office Manager, Jenna Clegg, volunteered at our Countryside Learners Family Activity Day back in April.

We’re super excited to see the activities FOD Mobility have planned for the rest of the year!

Hannah continued, “We’ve been getting involved in lots of fun ways – we had a pancake decorating competition, an easter egg competition, one of our exec team was gunged in pink goo for Pink It Up week, and a world baking day sale that got the whole office block together to raise money! Our main event was the Dragon Boat Festival which helped us to exceed our initial fundraising target of £4000. We can’t wait to raise more money throughout the year!”

FOD Mobility’s donation of £5,000 will allow us to continue our vital services for families as well as investing in research to improve treatments and outcomes for children with cancer. We look forward to working with the FOD Mobility team for the rest of the year and hearing all about their next fundraising efforts!
