Will you support families facing childhood cancer at Christmas?
Each year, over 150 children in Yorkshire are diagnosed with cancer. Candlelighters supports these children, and their families, for a lifetime. The need for these services is felt especially at Christmas which can be an even harder time for families to navigate. This Christmas, it will cost £40,000 to provide tailored support services over Christmas to families. Your support can ensure families facing childhood cancer continue to receive the support they need.
Your help will ensure children and families don’t miss out on the magic of Christmas. As well as funding our regular emotional, practical and financial support, your donations will fund festive activities and events, visits from Santa, presents, and give grants to families to ease additional costs at this time of year. You can help give children with cancer the Christmas they deserve.
This means that…
- Your £14 donation could fund an hour of a family support worker’s time, providing vital front-line support to families in the hospital and our support centre.
- Your £25 donation could fund a Christmas Eve box for a child spending Christmas in hospital, bringing some fun and magic to the ward.
- Your £75 donation could fund a talking therapy session to look after a parent or child’s mental health.
- Your £100 donation could fund a Christmas grant to help relieve financial strain on families at Christmas.
Thank you so much for your support. Let’s make Christmas magical for children with cancer.
