Today we’re celebrating the incredible team at Azets Leeds and York, who braved some truly awful weather on Saturday 20th September, to complete their fourth fundraising walk in aid of Candlelighters. Not only did they conquer the distance (and the downpours!) but they’ve already raised over £2,000 to support families affected by childhood cancer in Yorkshire. At the start of the year, Azets generously chose Candlelighters as their Charity of the Year for 2025, and we are so grateful for their energy, determination, and commitment to all their fundraising efforts so far this year. Thank you Team Azets! Learn more about how your business can support Candlelighters here.
The team set off from Clifford’s Tower in York, heading south through South Bank, Middlethorpe, Bishopthorpe, Appleton Roebuck, and South Fields, before making their way to Acaster Selby. From there, they followed the River Ouse back into York, finishing their epic 20-mile route in Dean’s Park, behind York Minster.
