This month saw the company Tangle Teezer make an incredible donation of 150 Tangle Teezers to Candlelighters, to help support childhood cancer patients in Yorkshire.

Explaining how this donation will help patients moving forward, Candlelighters Project Support Worker Vicky says:

“As part of our ongoing support we are always looking for new ways in which we can support our families. Feedback collected as part of our research showed us that a hair dressing facility was in high demand, both at The Square and on the ward. As a result, we are so pleased to announce that the Candlelighters Hair@TheSquare project will be launching this summer.

150 Tangle Teezers were donated to Candlelighters

We are overjoyed by the generosity of Tangle Teezer who have helped Candlelighters to take our first step into introducing this new service to the ward. This week saw the huge donation of 150 Tangle Teezers; in a variety of styles to suit everyone! Tangle Teezers are ideal for children of all ages who are suffering from hair loss, as not only are they gentler on the scalp but they also work well with wigs. It is our aim to be able to provide every child that goes through treatment, now and in the future, with their own Tangle Teezer so they can use it at the different stages of their hair loss. We would not have been able to provide this amazing service without the incredible generosity of PR manager Amy Barber and Tangle Teezer to whom we would like to say a massive thank you – we are very lucky and extremely grateful to have you on-board!”
