This summer, we were delighted to take 21 siblings, including those who have brothers or sisters currently on or post treatment, as well as those who are bereaved, to an unforgettable day out at York Maze. The day was packed with activities, from exploring the famous House of Corn-fusion and taking on the ‘Crowmania Ride’ (where we met the Greatest Crowman and got absolutely soaked!), to cheering along at the Cornula 1 car races, tackling the giant maze, and racing down the cobsleigh run. After plenty of exploring, the siblings tucked into a delicious lunch together. Days like this are so important for siblings, who experience their own challenges when a brother or sister is diagnosed with cancer. It gave them the chance to have fun, connect with others who understand, and simply be children for the day. Take a look here to find out when the next sibling groups and events are.
Thanks to the generosity of York Maze, who kindly donated tickets, the group enjoyed a well-deserved day of fun, laughter, and new memories.
