What is Christmas Jumper Day?

Christmas Jumper Day is a fun and festive fundraising event! People wear their silliest, sparkliest, or most creative Christmas jumpers to raise money for children with cancer and their families. Whether you’re at work, school, or anywhere else, it’s a chance to spread holiday cheer and make a real difference at the same time. Pop on your best jumper, donate, and join others helping to spread Christmas magic.

When is it?

The next Christmas Jumper Day is on Thursday 11th December 2025 and anyone can get involved - families, schools, offices, businesses and entire communities!

Taking part is easy...

  • Save the date – Thursday 11th December 2025
  • Dress festive – Pull on your Christmas jumper (or any fun, festive outfit!) and spread the joy
  • Make it count – Suggest a £2 donation from each participant to support children with cancer. You can collect cash or launch a fundraising page online.

What your fundraising can do

Your donations can contribute towards our extra special Christmas support such as Christmas Eve boxes for children on the oncology wards, Christmas grants to support families during the festive season, and our Christmas party for families. Your support helps give our families the magical Christmas they deserve and precious memories to last a lifetime.

You can make a real difference...

  • £250 could fund 10 Christmas Eve boxes for children spending Christmas in hospital
  • £300 could fund 22 hours of support from our Family Support Workers
  • £500 could fund festive activities and events for families
  • £1,000 could fund 10 Christmas grants to help bring some Christmas magic to families

Nevaeh's story

Nevaeh was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukaemia in October 2023, aged three. She and her family spent the Christmas period, including Christmas day, in hospital.

"We drew the unfortunate straw of having to stay in hospital over the Christmas period, but Nevaeh was kept in high spirits alongside Amy and Helen (Candlelighters' Family Support Workers), watching The Grinch, having snacks, pizzas days, opening presents and most of all just spending time with them and the excitement they brought to her bedside during the Christmas period. Having the support of Candlelighters at Christmas made it a thousand times better." - Charlotte and Josh, parents to Nevaeh
