We’re absolutely over the moon here at Candelighters today, after receiving an amazing £82,400 cheque from Global’s Make Some Noise.

The amount was presented to our staff by Capital Yorkshire presenters JoJo and Danny. Every single penny of it will go towards supporting families affected by childhood cancer across Yorkshire. Watch the moment we found out we’d received £82K here!

Specifically, the money will be allocated to funding dedicated project support work, such as funding a Project Support Worker, who works with a variety of family members- including siblings, parents and grandparents, as well as an animation project with children on the ward and the siblings of children who have passed away.

This funding will help us to reach all members of the families affected by childhood cancer. A diagnosis turns the lives of all family members upside down, but with Global’s generosity, we can support all who are affected.

Thank you to Global’s Make Some Noise, Capital Yorkshire and Heart Yorkshire for all your support.
