We are so pleased to announce that our latest Company of the Month is Caddick Group!

Caddick have been supporting our families since 2018, and in that time have raised over £100,000! This phenomenal amount has been raised through a huge variety of events, including at their annual ‘Moment In Time’ ball, a legendary event in the Yorkshire fundraising calendar.

A 15-strong group of brave and dedicated Caddick staff also took on last year’s Total Warrior obstacle course and founder and chairman Paul Caddick has personally match-funded many of the donations, helping to reach this incredible amount. Caddick also make an annual donation to further ensure our support for families can continue.

Not stopping with fundraising though, Caddick has been determined to use its resources to help families in other ways too. 17-year-old rugby fan Tiernan from Filey was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2020. Caddick recently gifted Leeds Rhinos tickets to Tiernán to attend a match in Headingley alongside dad Nick and younger brother Caelan.

Nick said the family had an ‘amazing time’, commenting that, ‘Trips such as this really do provide a massive psychological boost to Tiernán, it helps him talk about his cancer and treatment and he very much considers it part of the healing process.

The Caddick team have also made a difference to families through volunteering, donating their time to put together Christmas boxes for families in hospital over the festive period, as well as ‘new patient bags’ which are given to newly diagnosed families to help them understand the support that is available to them. And most recently, Caddick was instrumental in organising and funding an abseil to raise funds for Candlelighters using the Moda Building in New York Square which they built, with the event raising over £7,000 and counting.

Caddick Group’s Kairen Brown, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility at Caddick Group, said, ‘It has been such a pleasure to foster our long-term partnership with Candlelighters over the last five years. The charity continues to inspire us in our support through raising vital funds – whether it be staff fundraising challenges or grants. Candlelighters continues to bring light and hope to families affected by childhood cancer across Yorkshire and we look forward to continuing our ongoing relationship.’

Caddick Group’s current donations to Candlelighters stand at £107,323. This is a truly incredible amount in support of our families and we are so grateful to continue working with them to bring light and hope to children with cancer and their families.
