We’re pleased to announce our Company of the Month for November 2021 is My Energy Grants!
The Barnsley based company first began supporting Candlelighters earlier this year, deciding to become a member of Club Candlelighters. My Energy Grants joined Club Candlelighters as Transformers – pledging to donate £25,000 every year for three years, helping to expand and transform the charity and the support we’re able to provide families. Armed with this target, the My Energy Grants team have thrown themselves into fundraising for Candlelighters!
Managing Director, Shaun Yates, kicked off the team’s efforts, running the Yorkshire Marathon in October to raise funds for Candlelighters. Shaun and the rest of the team then completed a marathon walk in December from their offices in Carlton, walking into Stairfoot, through Worsbrough, then Silkstone and finishing back at HQ – taking a total of around nine hours! For their incredible efforts, the team raised over a fantastic £1,500!
Not only this, hearing of the opportunity to sponsor the star at the top of the Christmas tree at our family support centre, The Square, the business generously donated £5,000 which is enough to fund 50 of our Christmas grants, helping to ensure Christmas is as magical as possible for patients and their siblings.
We have been so grateful for the support of My Energy Grants this year, and can’t wait to continue working with them in the coming years.
Their enthusiasm and passion for fundraising in order to help support children and families is so fantastic, we can’t wait to hear about their plans for 2022!
