The Great Leeds Walk 2026

We have a choice of 3 distances for you to take on!

10 Miles, 18 Miles and 25 Miles!

This is a Fundraising Hike and we offer 3 different distances - 10, 18 and 25 miles, all starting at The Leodiensian Club, Crag Lane, Leeds, LS17 5PR. To see the Route Map, please click HERE

Choose Your Challenge:
10 Miles — Stunning climb to end point at Surprise View (LS21 3DG)
18 Miles — Scenic Yeadon, Horsforth & end point at The Bridge Inn (LS18 4HN)
25 Miles — Ultimate city-to-nature loop back to the end point at The Leodiensian Club (LS17 5PR)

There will be a shuttle bus back, or walkers can make their own way back to Leodiensian Club. We will send out detailed route information and a walk pack well in advance of the day.

Registration fee:
Early Bird Price - £15 until 1st April 2026
Full Price - £20

Fundraising target: £200 (please speak to us if you have concerns about hitting this target)

To ensure Candlelighters raise enough from the events to cover our costs and then fund the many support services we provide for families, we need participants to raise the minimum fundraising target amount for each event. If you want to support us but aren’t sure if you’ll be able to reach the target, please do get in touch with us for a chat and we’ll help find the best way for you to support us.

Timings: Meet at 6:30am for a 7am start – Finishing around 5pm

AGE RESTRICTIONS:  Ages 16 & Over are welcome on this challenge walk. Please speak to us if anyone under this age would like to take part
