This week, we’re proud to share our 2024 Impact Report, a celebration of the moments that matter most to the families we support, and the incredible Candlelighters community that makes those moments possible. 10,837 hours of support delivered on the wards, making long hospital days a little brighter for children and families. 281 families received vital financial support, helping relieve the everyday pressures of childhood cancer. Our Family Support Centre, The Square, welcomed families 2,419 times. This included: 406 talking therapy sessions 397 wellbeing sessions 49 support groups and family events At the Candlelighters Cottage, 33 families spent a total of 1,231 nights together during treatment. 77 families enjoyed special time away on a Candlelighters holiday, creating lasting memories. 💛 This year, over 2,000 people supported families affected by childhood cancer through donations or fundraising. 💛 375 incredible volunteers gave a total of 3,954 hours of their time. 💛 Together, you raised an amazing £1.81 million, ensuring that no family faces childhood cancer alone. Every therapy session. Every hug. Every holiday. Every bell rung. Every moment that matters – you were there.
