We were delighted to see our volunteer and supporter Stacy was featured in the press recently for her Captain Tom 100 challenge in aid of Candlelighters!

Upon hearing of the Captain Tom 100 – a fundraising challenge in memory of the late Captain Sir Tom Moore – Stacy decided to rally friends and family to do something to raise funds and awareness for Candlelighters. Stacy initially decided to recruit a team of 100 people to walk or run one mile each over the course of the early May Bank Holiday weekend, as well as setting herself the challenge to run 202 miles (what would have been twice Captain Tom’s age in May) throughout the course of the month.

Stacy’s amazing friends and family were keen to get involved and in total, 148 people joined in on the weekend and so far Stacy has raised over £1,000! Read more about Stacy’s challenge here.
