We are here for you
If your child has just been diagnosed with cancer, you may be wondering where to turn. We're here to help you and your family on the journey ahead.
We support the families of children with cancer and life-threatening haematological disorders receiving treatment primarily at Leeds Children's Hospital. This support begins at diagnosis and lasts as long as is needed. https://www.childrenwithcancer.org.uk
Emotional support
- Adult's and children's talking therapy - 1-1 sessions to help process emotions and learn coping mechanisms.
- Wellbeing therapies - Holistic treatments like massage and reflexology to look after your wellbeing.
- Support groups - Safe spaces for parents, patients and siblings to meet others facing the same journey.
Practical support
- Hospital support - Support while staying in or visiting hospital.
- Accommodation - If you need to travel to receive treatment, we can provide accommodation close to the hospital.
- The Square - Our family support centre is open six days a week with a friendly team on hand for guidance and support.
Financial support
- New patient grant - We can help bridge the gap between diagnosis and receiving disability living allowance.
