“Everyone was out to have a good time in aid of a great cause”

Chairman of Ilkley Candlelighters, Alison Clay, said, “We would like to thank everyone most sincerely for your support and contribution. Without the generosity of our sponsors, advertisers, prize donors and those who gave their time and enthusiasm to help make the evening a success, this amazing total could not have been achieved.”

One of the 350 guests at the Rudding Park event observed, “From start to finish the evening had a real buzz about it, with everyone out to have a good time in aid of a great cause. The band and compere were brilliant, and the guest speakers really spoke from the heart about Candlelighters, particularly the young girl who talked about her own experience of being treated for cancer.”
