Karen Tiffany, from Wakefield, recently smashed her indoor triathlon challenge to raise funds for Candlelighters. She completed the run-swim-cycle challenge, raising an INCREDIBLE £1400.

The grandchild of one of Karen’s work colleagues at NPower is currently being treated for cancer and has been supported by Candlelighters.

Karen wanted to help in some way after seeing the support we gave, and decided to set herself the indoor triathlon challenge. She fundraised with gusto and was pleased that she had raised enough money to cover the cost of two more holidays for families.

She told Candlelighters: “My colleague went on the family holiday that Candlelighters provided last year. She really deserved and needed the break away and it gave her some special family time with her grandson. If I can help other families to have that same precious time together, then it was worth all that effort.”

Thank you so much Karen!
