Ogden Harrogate are delighted with the results of our partnership with The Ivy Harrogate, for whom we were asked to design an exclusive Ivy-inspired necklace.

This beautiful item, the Ivy Harlequin Necklace was recently auctioned to raise money for the Harrogate Candlelighters Charity at their Après Ski Party, Ripley Castle.

The Ivy worked closely with Ogden of Harrogate to develop the initial design drawings for a beautiful 18ct white gold pendant. This unique necklace, inspired by The Ivy restaurant’s iconic stained-glass windows and featuring intricate detailing, was made by hand in our Harrogate workshop and features 55 stunning diamonds handset into 18ct white gold.

A silent auction took place at the Candlelighters party, with the winning bidder receiving this beautiful bespoke piece of jewellery. All proceeds from the auction were donated to the Candlelighters charity which supports children suffering with cancer and their families in Yorkshire.

Rodney Prosper, General Manager at The Ivy Harrogate, said: “Candlelighters is such a fantastic charity and we’re delighted to be contributing to such a worthwhile local cause.”

Ogden of Harrogate have an exciting history and we’re all looking forward to celebrating 125 years in business throughout 2018, from the days when our founder James R Ogden, documented the jewellery whilst working with Lord Carnarvon and Howard Carter on the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922 and decades of jewellery design.
