The Candlelighters Award-winning fundraising group, Ilkley Candlelighters, have truly worked their socks off this year by raising an incredible £38,000.
Candlelighters Charity Director, Jo Shepheard, met up with the committee last week to accept a cheque for the total amount. This funding will go towards ensuring the continuation and growth of key research projects into children’s cancers.
Some of the key fundraisers the group have organised include Ladies Lunches, collections and, of course, their stunning May ball at Rudding Park Hotel in Harrogate.
Thank you to the entire committee for your dedication and hard work in 2016.
