Administration and Office Support Volunteer
We have a range of administration and office support roles in different teams so you can choose to gain experience in an area you want to develop or a role that matches your expertise.
Front of House Volunteers
Welcome families to our support centre and help them access all the wonderful services we have on offer. We need smiley, positive regular volunteers to make families feel at home.
Family Network Volunteer
We are looking for volunteers who’ve been personally affected by childhood cancer to help expand the Candlelighters Family Network across Yorkshire.
Volunteer Photographers & Videographers
Attending events such as marathons, 10ks, award ceremonies and fundraising events, our photographers capture our supporters’ incredible efforts and help us to shout about what they and the charity do.
Volunteer Gardener
We’re looking for a proactive volunteer who uses their own initiative to organise plants which keep the Teen Oncology & Paediatric Bone Marrow Transplant wards’ garden welcoming all year round.
Voluntary Work Placements
A few days a week for several weeks in a row, these flexible placements are designed to fit University Courses’ Work Placement requirements and provide you with experience in a relevant field.
Volunteer Delivery Driver
Provide our supporters with resources and equipment, including merchandise, buckets and collecting boxes, pop up stands, etc for their fundraising.
Medical Consultant Trustee
We are looking for a consultant paediatric haematologist or consultant paediatric oncologist at Leeds Children’s Hospital to join the board of trustees at Candlelighters as a medical consultant trustee.
