Max posing in his Candlelighters running vest, ready to run with Gilly

Gilly Wight will be taking on the challenge of a lifetime in February, when she runs from Otley to Cambridge (160 miles) and then takes part in the Cambridge Half Marathon.

Accompanied by her faithful four legged friend, Max, and a support team of family and friends, Gilly hopes to run around 30 miles a day, over 6 days, to get to the start line on 28th February and take part in the Cambridge Half.

Gilly is a member of Otley AC Running Club and Manager of Up & Running on Boar Lane in Leeds. Her challenge has already raised a phenomenal £510 for Candlelighters and she has secured the support of many running colleagues and suppliers to keep her going along the way.

A supporter of Candlelighters since the age of 7, Gilly said, “I want to raise as much money as I can for Candlelighters, so I needed to take on a real challenge.”

Understatement of the year?!?
