On Friday 7th October all of Global’s radio stations, including Heart and Capital FM, will be asking their listeners and friends in the music and entertainment industry to make some noise for charity – and they want you to join in too!
Global are asking everyone to dress loud for the day, to help change the lives of children and young people across the UK. Here at Candlelighters we are thrilled to be one of Global’s chosen charities for 2016. Not only will their radio stations be raising funds for the charity, but they have also raised invaluable awareness, with interviews with both Candlelighters’ families and staff aired on Heart and Capital Yorkshire.
Candlelighters Community Fundraiser Chloe Marsh says “Here at Candlelighters we are thrilled to have the support of the 2016 Global’s Make Some Noise campaign. Through their work, the amazing teams at Heart and Capital have been getting Yorkshire behind the fight against children’s cancer. We are so grateful to everyone who is raising funds as part of the campaign; the money donated to Candlelighters will go a long way in supporting Yorkshire patients and families at Candlelighters’ family support centre The Square in Leeds.”
Emma Bradley, director of Global’s Make Some Noise, said: “More than 24 million people tune in to Global’s radio brands every week with millions more engaging with us through out digital platforms. This puts us in an fantastic position to help charities and projects that would otherwise struggle to raise awareness. We’re so pleased that we’re able to support Candlelighters this year.”
