About this Event
On Friday 28th July, a group of supporters will be teaming up to spend an entire day making outfits for Chemo Ducks at Leeds Children's Hospital.
Chemo Ducks are toys given to children on treatment for cancer. Candlelighters cover the cost of the outfits for the ducks, as well as funding play leader roles on wards L31 and L33, who use the toys in play therapy to support and educate children and their families during their diagnosis and treatment for cancer. Outfits are given to children as a reward following treatment to put a smile on their face.
This is where the incredible group of supporters from Rivers Meet Café have come in, and the outfits they make on Friday 28th July will make such a huge difference to the children meeting their Chemo Ducks for the first time on the wards at Leeds Children's Hospital.
The event is open to everyone! If you'd like more details please visit www.riversmeetcafe.co.uk or call Candlelighters on 0113 322 9283.
