We were delighted to attend a very special cheque presentation to recognise Dean’s Garden Centre‘s support throughout 2015.

With just two sites this family run business raised a remarkable £22,029.70 for their three chosen charities. This includes Candlelighters, Martin House Children’s Hospice and The Anthony Nolan Trust.

Christmas Jumper Day
Colleagues at Dean’s got into their festive Fundraising!

Candlelighters Corporate Fundraiser, Brian Curran said “We were thrilled and amazed by the amount the teams raised across the two sites. Working with the York team has been great for Candlelighters. We need to raise £1.5m each year and Dean’s have certainly helped us along the way to achieveing this.”

The Dean’s Team got involved in so many ways from Brass band concerts to instore fundraising. From Christmas Jumper days to colleagues getting involved in our events, including last year’s Glass walk in York! Dean’s have a strong sense of community spirit and we can’t say thank you enough for all they have done for Candlelighters throughout 2015.

Next year sees the firm supporting The British Heart Foundation across both Garden Centres, we wish them all the best but know that they won’t be strangers!

Candlelighters would like to thank all the team there, colleagues and customers alike. A special mention to Ruth Wilson who has really gone the extra mile for our special cause.

To find out how your company can support Candlelighters contact Brian Curran, our Corporate Fundraiser who is keen to talk to anyone fro mthe commercial world about how they could get involved.
