London based design company, Donna Wilson, have kindly donated some of their UK-made lambs wool and cotton cushions to be used in the refurbishment of the Candlelighters Cottage.

Since 2003, Donna and colleagues have been creating colourful, patterned home furnishing made from lamb’s wool that is spun, dyed and knitted in Scotland before making its way down to London to be finished in their studio.

Donna Wilson commented saying, “We’re so happy to have been able to help Candlelighters refurbish the Cottage. They’re only a small touch, but we hope our cushions help to make a warm and cosy home away from home for families and young cancer patients.”

Head of Income Development, Marie Peacock also added, “We are so grateful to Donna Wilson for this donation. The cushions will help to make the cottage a beautiful, bright and homely space that families can use to relax and recoup whilst their child is on treatment”.

Candlelighters would like to say a massive thank you to Donna Wilson, the cushions are a lovely touch and will bring lots of character and life to the communal areas.
