Adviser Plus continue brilliant fundraising efforts to support Candlelighters Covid-19 Appeal!

Adviser Plus have been avid supporters of Candlelighters since 2018 and have taken on many fundraising activities including Pink It Up, the Great North Run, an Easter Hunt, selling raffle tickets and a tuck shop in the office! The impact of Covid-19 has had a huge effect on fundraising by businesses and individuals, however the team at Adviser Plus have made a fantastic effort to keep their staff engaged in fundraising activities.

Jane from Adviser Plus said:

“Working from home has brought its own challenges when fundraising as we do a lot of food based fundraising but having something set up where it is interactive and easy to donate has been great. We have raised more over the last 5 weeks that we have done previously in such a small period of time (nearly £700) so clear that lots of people are still so keen in supporting a great charity.

On a yearly basis, we open up our charity nominations to our colleague and they nominate which charity we want to support for the financial year. Candlelighters were the overwhelming chosen charity when it was selected in 2018 and given the amazing work you do, we have supported Candlelighters for over 2 years so far. This proving how much our colleagues want to support!

It was important for our colleagues to support a local charity but there is also a more personal reason for one of our colleagues whose granddaughter, Maisie, and family have been massively supported by Candlelighters-

Maisie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia in September 2018 and is having ongoing treatment.

Maisie smiles all the time and is teaching us some important life lessons.

Candlelighters have been there for their family since the initial diagnosis, providing emotional, financial and practical support which is priceless.”

Gina from Candlelighters said “We are so grateful to the team at Adviser Plus for continuing their support for Candlelighters during these difficult times. By supporting the Together Tin, Adviser Plus is helping us to keep our Candle burning and bring light to families who are facing the darkest time.”
