Take on the #CaptainTom100 for Candlelighters!

‘The Covid-19 pandemic has had a catastrophic effect on charities, with the cancellation of thousands of events and the loss of billions in income. At a time when vulnerable members of society need them most, charities have had to cut services, furlough staff and some have even shut down. Captain Tom stepped up to help, taking on his famous walk to support the NHS Covid-19 appeal and inspiring millions to donate to the cause.

Now the Captain Tom 100 is offering everyone the chance to raise funds for the charity of their choice or for The Captain Tom Foundation.’

Captain Tom Moore was and continues to be an inspirational figure, rallying many people together to support charities at a time when we most needed it. Now, in honour of what would have been his 101st birthday, Tom’s family are using his incredible legacy to further help causes like ours.

The idea is simple – challenge yourself to do something which incorporates the number 100 and donate or get sponsored to complete your challenge! Complete the challenge between Friday 30 April and Monday 3 May and help to support families facing childhood cancer across Yorkshire.

You can donate for your challenge here (just pop ‘Captain Tom 100’ in one of the boxes) or set up your fundraising page here. You can find any other resources you might need on the Captain Tom Foundation website.
