Candlelighters are delighted to have been selected as the chosen charity in 2017 by The White Rosettes in Leeds. They are an award-winning ladies barbershop chorus with over 70 members who meet every Wednesday in Leeds for rehearsals. The group are currently preparing to defend their European championship and to seek their 16th gold medal at the national convention of the Ladies Association of British Barbershop Singing, which takes place in October.

The White Rosettes have chosen Candlelighters, as one of the chorus members has received personal support from the charity.

To commemorate their 40th anniversary year, they have decided to support a nominated charity that chorus members can fundraise for in a variety of ways.

So whether members participate in Candlelighters’ events or organise their own fundraising activities, they will be raising funds for us all year.

This includes making and selling jewellery, cakes and decorated Easter eggs- as well as raffling a variety of goodies… and there is much more to come!
