Gecko’s – I’m a Gecko, Get me out of here!
In September 2018, Gecko had a staff BBQ and to add a fundraising element, they decided to hold interdepartmental Bush Tucker Trials! Six courses were served to participants for each of the four teams, including “Locust Linguine”, “Buffalo Worm Salad” and last but not least, “Bug-ble & Squeak” reserved for the Directors and Management Team! Gecko’s own Ant & Dec and Kiosk Keith even made an appearance! Spectators made pledges to see their colleagues tuck in which resulted in £1,000 being raised!

Major Recruitment – Worst Bake Off
For #PINKITUP 2019, numerous branches of recruitment company ‘Major Recruitment’ took part in a very pink day of fundraising for us, raising £1,015! For Idea of the Year, the branch manager at Huddersfield performed a Pink tribute act in the office and the team participated in a “Worst Cake Bake Off” as none of them were very good at baking! The worst cake was awarded with a prize!

Gateley’s Treasure Hunt
Gateley PLC created a bespoke treasure hunt around Leeds City Centre for their clients! The teams were provided with a bag (pink of course!) to collect the ‘treasure’ and followed clues around the City Centre, including a visit to The Square. The last clue led everyone to our final mystery location where a buffet and drinks were provided for everyone. The night was rounded off with an auction which included a gentleman’s bespoke suit by James Michelsberg, a £250 gift voucher for Hobbs, a brewery tour gift voucher and many other special prizes! They raised a ‘booty-ful’ £2,132!
