What have we been up to?

Laing O’Rourke

Our thanks to Laing O’Rourke, they have recently completed the challenging task of centralising the city’s Children’s Medical Services to the Leeds General Infirmary, which previously stretched across the two hospitals at St. James’s and LGI. The move has provided the hospital with 17 wards, including a new Cystic Fibrosis Unit and Oncology unit, along with new facilities for Teenage Care and Bone Marrow Transplant. The first phase of works will significantly improve the Children’s Medical Care facilities in Leeds.

The Car Wash

Our annual summer car wash with Harrogate Fire Station in June benefits Candlelighters and the The Fire Fighers Charity. The Harrogate Committee, the fire fighters and all our lovely helpers got extreamely wet, but we had a lot of fun! We washed loads of cars (and a few giant vans!) with help from Stray FM for advertising for us. We made over £1400 pounds for both charities and some nice clean cars!

The Italian Job Ball
